Are you trying to achieve the most efficiency from your amp or highest watts? You would be better off getting a higher wattage amp than bridging it down to a 2ohm load. The amp will be much hotter at 2ohm's, heat(like a car engine) over time will damage the amp and it will lose efficiency and stability. On the other hand, sometimes a wire configuration / ohm ratings for the particular sub you have will depict the ohm load. In that case definitely find a known stable amp to fit your needs. If you just want "watt" bragging rights, then forget ever thing you just read.
