Saturday, September 13, 2008 Nashville to Dover, Tennessee (Land Between the Lakes)
[www.dovertn.com] We will meet at the Regal Cinema/Shoneys parking lot at 1-40 Exit #196 on Hwy. 70S in west Nashville. Be there about 8:30 if you wish to eat breakfast at Shoneys, and we will leave from there at 9:30 sharp.

From Shoneys (Nashville) to Dover:
From the parking lot, go left onto Hwy. 70 and proceed west, away from Nashville. We will go through Pegram, Shacklett, and at White Bluff, turn right onto TN 47 towards Charlotte.
At the stop sign at the end of TN 47, turn right on TN 48/49 into Charlotte.
Turn or bear left onto TN 49 and follow through Vanleer and onto Erin, Carlisle and Bear Creek. Hwy 49 will then take us into Dover. We will stop for lunch while in the Dover area and may visit some local sites (see the website link at top of page for Points of Interest) time permitting and based on interest from the group to do so. From Dover to Nashville:
We will take Hwy 79 to the west towards Paris from Dover.
Turn left onto Hwy 232 going south to Mulberry Hill and onto Asbury and McKinnon.
At McKinnon, turn left onto Hwy 147 going east towards Stewart, and past Tennessee Ridge, and then right on Hwy 49 to go east to Erin.
At Erin, turn right onto Hwy 13 going south and then bear left at Pollard onto Hwy 231/CR 341/Erin Road towards McEwen. At McEwen, turn on Hwy 70 going east towards Dickson, then White Bluff and Pegram and then back into Nashville. Do not take the Hwy 70S turnoff to the right at the y-shaped intersection as we get back into Nashville. (If you do, it will take you back to I-40). Stay on Hwy 70 by staying left. The tour will end at the Brewhouse West on the left just before Wendy’s and Walmart on Hwy 70 (actual address: 7108 Charlotte Pike) in west Nashville near the entrance to I-40. Approx. Total Mileage of Cruze is 230 miles ___________________________________________________________
