| These intercoolers feature 2.5" inlets and outlets for use with 2.5" intercooler piping. A complete 2.5" piping kit will be available through AshSPEC Performance and Tuning in May, 2006. If you do not have inclination to go with the 2.5" intake piping kit, these intercoolers can be installed to OEM 2.0" piping using a reducing coupler kit, priced at $110. These intercoolers will require a small modification to the turnsignal markers for US-SPEC style fascias just as is required with the Stillen Sidemount Intercoolers. There are no modifications necessary for '99 JSPEC fascias. The OEM charcoal canister will need to be removed for proper fitment - installation instructions will come with kit. Performance Benefits:
These intercoolers have been extensively tested through use of a DynoJet 248X Chassis Dynomometer to show a performance benefit when used with complete 2.5" intake piping of nearly 40RWHP across the board over the Stillen Sidemount intercoolers with OEM piping. The Stillen sidemount has been one of the largest production sidemount intercoolers available for the Z32 with a core volume of 263 cubic inches. The AshSPEC MASSIVE SMIC has a whopping core volume of 338 cubic inches for a gain of 28.5% over the Stillen Intercooler.
