Why do you need forged pistons? The pistons in the stock 300ZX TT motor are cast aluminum. They are the weak link in the Z's bottom end. The stock crank and rods are forged. Under higher boost and hp conditions the stock cast pistons have a tendency to break apart under any detonation, specifically the ringlands. Forged pistons give you the insurance to push your car harder without eventually breaking the pistons to pieces. So anytime we rebuild a motor we always slightly overbore and use our lightweight forged pistons. We sell Wiseco forged pistons for the best price, guaranteed.
