Last week I hydrolocked my engine. I have decided that I just don't have the energy to rebuild it nor the patience to work with a mechanic. So I'm looking to sell my car. Here are the details. Photos will follow if I can upload them. 1991 300ZX TT, Red with Black Leather Interior,
The good news:
Total body restoration to original in May 2003.
New radiator, June 2004
New front power steering hoses and steering rack, Sept 2005
Pirelli zero-nero front tires, 10K miles
Avon rear tires, brand spanking new
All on MODA 18" rims, 8.5" fr and 9.5" rear
I have the factory TT rims
4 wheel alignment, Sept 2005
Factory rebuilt tranny at 100K miles, The car has 175K miles on it.
New factory exhaust, Sept 2003
All controls, guages, etc work, except radio The bad news:
Motor complete but hydrolocked (I drove thru a puddle!)
Minor paint chipping on the front chin spoiler
Minor rock chips in the paint in front
Small star crack in the windshield
A paint chip on the rear spoiler
Driver seat bottom needs stitching along the seam
Bose radio doesn't work (surprise!) Other:
Turbos are original but in good shape. The car has always used synthetic oil, I cool down before shutting down, etc.
It was my daily driver, except winters. Always reliable and comfortable. It never saw snow.
I'm the second owner. I am 53, have owned it for 10 years. I bought it from a 45 year old NJ state trooper who had it the first five. It has never been abused. I live in south New Jersey. I can transport the car within 100 miles. Beyond that, the buyer will need to make arrangements. Price: I need $2000 for the car.
