Had planned on doing the tranny conversion sooner or later, but right now is not what I had in mind. My 11 month old twins have been sick, and having donated a chunk to hurricane relief, I thought it was a little cruel to have my tranny die today :-( Thankfully another Z owner was in the same line of traffic and helped me get the car out of the way. If you're reading this, please email me. Also, if you live in the Woodstock, GA area and are willing to help, I'd be very appreciative (and provide food & beverage). Anyway, I'm probably going to need some parts. I have a parts car, so I hope the main parts are in good enough shape. I know I need the following: Shift knob Shift boot Shifter bushings (probably) Since I'm there, I should probably get a new clutch disc and pressure plate. Probably need a clutch master and slave cylinder (cap is gone from the master on the parts car).
Kinda glad it died though. I had talked to one user about selling the auto tranny to him, and I'd feel like an a$$ if this happened AFTER he bought it. Refunding the purchase price just doesn't cut it when you've gone through the trouble of swapping trannies to another dying one.
