The Ash-SPEC ECU upgrades were developed using the ZEMulator to finely tune operating engine parameters in both street and dyno conditions using a wideband O2 sensor setup. The utmost care has been taken in the development of these programs to ensure that the program you receive has been extensively tested to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.

The Ash-SPEC ECU upgrade has become well known in the Z32 community for offering reliable power with factory drivability while maintaining factory safety features. Safely increase your Z's power and torque output with increased boost levels and a properly configured program for your car's modifications.
Upgrading of the ECU consists of removal of the OEM EPROM chip containing the ECUs program, installation of an EPROM socket for ease of chip replacement, and installation and testing of a new Ash-SPEC EPROM.
Upgrades are available for both NA and TT models, 5speed or automatic, and vehicles will pass even the most stringent California emissions tests - guaranteed!
The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is a a small computer which monitors all engine sensors and controls all engine functions for fuel delivery, ignition timing, rev limiter, speed limiter, valve timing control and emissions control systems. This computer operates based on a set of values of which Nissan generated in their R&D process of the powerplant, however, they left a lot to be desired by the enthusiast. A new program catered to your vehicle's modifications is generated and installed. Programming which allows for safe running of higher boost levels while maintaining "safety mode" configurations allow you to improve performance in a reliable fashion.

The new Xstream dual intake fondly gets its name from both the siamese "X" pattern as well as by definition:
Being in or attaining the greatest or highest degree;
The actual design of the Xstream, however, is much more than just a play on words. Its benefits over any other dual intake setup have proven itself to be the best currently on the market (IMO) and it takes the dual intake setup one step further in functionality.
As seen in the images above, this new intake design is similar to that of its predecessor but the design issues that were observed in the original DOOLZ have been improved upon to minimize crossflow, improve cross sectional area, and achieve this with better fitment. She simply does a much better job in all three areas.
The gains over the JWT product were impressive. Without any A/F bias, the eXtreme produced 13.7RWTQ and 4.4RWHP more than the JWT. When the A/F bias plate was adjusted to produce a 12:1 A/F ratio, that advantage grew to 24RWTQ and 23RWHP. Because of the advanced timing (~3 degrees more according to conzult), the engine was also producing more power in every range of operating condition. This goes further than just the peak numbers too as you can see that it improved the power output on the upslope of both torque and HP. All three runs were performed a second time and results were all within a few tenths of a HP and TQ. Pulls were made at 1.2 bar and 43% duty cycle on the APEXi boost controller.
Kits come with piping, silicon couplers (red, blue, black), hose clamps, and dummy MAS w/gasket. You will need to acquire a second filter idential to your existing filter to complete this kit. Unpolished piping color selections: silver, black, red.
