After 5 great years of ownership it is time to leave the Z community for an undetermined amount of time. My 1994 NA 300zx is up for sale. The basics: 116k miles 5spd One of the cleanest daily driven 100k+ mile bodies you will ever find. Maybe 2 small dents on the entire car and super clean, glossy, rare black emerald paint only avail on 1994 models. Tan leather/suede interior in good condition especially considering mileage T-tops with steamyz tan t-top bags w/ z emblems, power driver seat, auto climate, same old standard stuff The history: After looking for months for the perfect Z I stumbled across this beauty on auto trader. It was originally a Florida car for the first half of its life and moved to Houston with me in September of 2000. The previous owner was a 50+ year old man who bought the car used from a dealer w/ ~20,000 miles on it and sold it to me with 52K miles. This car has been well documented. I have a folder almost an inch thick with documents and receipts from clutch to oil changes. All work was either done by Mossy Nissan or by me and the fellow mechanics at Hennessey Motorsports (the viper shop), as I worked there through most of the ownership of the car. The car has been very reliable and I have pretty much only had do scheduled maitenance and common things that wear out like clutches, shift bearings, stuff like that. I try to hand wash the car weekly and go through a 4 step 3 coat Zaino process every 6 weeks or so when time allows. If you have been looking seriously at many Zs and come to see mine, you will surely be able to appreciate its excellent condition. I do not see any cleaner unless I am at a Z meet and even then it is still one of the better ones in the lot. Mods and Problems: I take pride in being an honest seller (note the folder of reciepts). A couple thousand dollars trying to screw someone over is not worth my dignity so I will be as honest as I can. Currently the car does not have working A/C. Within the past year I have replaced nearly the entire A/C system including the A/C compressor and expansion valve, yet after all that ($1000++) it turns out the evaporator core is leaking. Basically, it needs a new E-core(~$300-400). After this is completed, essentially the entire A/C system will be new and it will blow ice cold for years to come. More importantly I had a compression check done and it had cylinders 2 and 5 come back low. The car still runs very strong and pulls hard. A couple low cylinders does not imply impending doom. The motor could still run strong for another 50-100K miles if treated properly as with any other car. There is no smoke and no reason to assume the motor will die any time soon or that it is even in deteriorating condition, however it has been taken into account in my asking price. I am sure this will scare many of you, but feel free to call me and I will try to elaborate on the situation. Also while having this check done I had a check out of the tranny, electrical system and an ECU diagnostic and all came back perfect. As far as mods go I have a JWT pop charger and an ASP underdrive pulley. This is all for performance mods. I did not race this car. When you work around 1000hp vipers, a 230hp Z just isn't much of a thrill. The only appearance mods I have done are a Stillen louvered panel with a JSpec Z emblem, JSpec clear corners and 20% tint all around. I am not personally a fan of body kits and I found this to be a clean looking piece to make my Z tastefully unique. I have installed a code alarm to deter people from stealing the car or stereo which I have also upgraded tastefully. I have 2 amps, one underneath the passenger seat (Rockford Fosgate 250a2 amp) driving my JL audio stealthbox (being sold separately asking $300) and one underneath the drivers seat (MTX Thunder 4244 amp) driving 4 4" MTX coaxials (still in the car). It's powered by a top of the line Alpine CDA-7998 XL face head unit ($800 new which may or may not be sold separately). As you can see, stealth and clean sound were the main goals of this setup. The car will come with a different aftermarket CD player if I get rid of the Alpine unit. If the stealth box is sold before the car, all wiring will remain so you will have the option of simply buying a sub and plugging it in if you so choose. The Yokohama Advan VS-5s in the pics are also being sold separately (asking $1300). The Z will have stock wheels. If you pick up this car before I get rid of any of these items being sold separately and are interested in having them, we can try to work on a deal. In conclusion, if you have made it through this whole write up it should be clear to see I am a dedicated honest member of the Z and general automotive community. I have babied this car as it rightfully deserves to be. As seen with the upgrades I have done, expenses are not spared when it comes to my baby. When I put wheels on, I didn't just go cheap to make it look decent as soon as possible. I went out and got clean light JDM wheels. When I decided to upgrade the stereo, I again went out and picked up and installed quality stealthy components instead of settling. I am not being cocky I am just trying to stress the care taken with this car and hope that the right buyer takes this into account. I am asking $5,300OBO considering the problems yet overall excellent condition of the automobile, especially compared to other 300Zs at this price. If you have any questions or just didn't want to read the above novel on the car feel free to email me or call me on my cell at 832-453-3009 (prefer evenings). PICTURES.........
