Z1 300ZX Cargo Cover Over the years original cargo covers wear out and really take a toll on the overall function and feel of any Z's interior. Weak return spring, broken hooks, tears, flaking vinyl, the rusting steel frame, and the dreaded splitting and peeling of the vinyl around the shade rod really can bring your interior down more than just a notch. Previously there were very few options for correcting this, you could make an attempt at restoring your shade if it wasn't too bad, you could purchase a used one hopefully in better shape, or you could pay through the teeth for a New Nissan replacement ($450+ Ouch). That isn't the case anymore, now you can purchase a modern version to replace it for less than half of the OE replacement parts cost.
The original cover was our start point and we utilized some modern construction techniques and design requirements to make sure this new cover is even better than the original. The frame coating is now baked onto an extruded aluminum frame rather than wrapped in vinyl. The return spring has a slightly firmer tension than OE. The shade rod is made of oval profile extruded aluminum tube, and the shade is fully wrapped around it before being stitched all the way across. Even the hook design covers the ends of the shade material and the shade rod to finish the shade well. See more about it here In Stock and ready to ship - $174
