Message Z1 Z32 Short Blocks (Stage 2)

A VG30DE and (TT) requires stringent build practices in order to ensure the engine will last and perform 100% in all situations. Bearing tolerances, piston-bore clearances, journal finishes, balancing are all critical areas that demand the utmost in perfection - our experience enables us to produce the best of the best in engine builds ranging from the stock replacement engine all the way up to 1KHP levels. We strive to be the best and the resources, energy, and attention to detail put into a single engine build surpasses any other.

The Z1 short block takes into account all improvements that can be made to the block assembly to insure a reliable and powerful build. All Z1 short blocks receive the following machine work and treatment:

• Disassemble Core Block & Inspect Block for cracks or other damage

• Inspect and tap all head and main bolt holes

• Remove all freeze plugs, oil galley plugs, oil squirters, restrictors, and check valves

• Thoroughly clean all passages with brushes, air pressure, and solvent prior to vat cleaning the block

• Remove all excess flashing / casting from coolant passages

• Tap all oil galley plug holes and reinstall threaded pipe plugs

• Deck block surface back to square, all blocks are stamped with amount of material removed

• Install new oil squirters, either NA or properly modified TT squirters are used

• Blocks are bored and honed to proper tolerances for Wiseco 87.5 mm or 88 mm pistons

• Crankshafts are inspected, micro polished, and balanced. Bolt on counter weight is tig welded in place

• OEM connecting rods are inspected, resized, and fitted with new Nissan bearings (Stage 1) Aftermarket rods are inspected, sized, and fitted with Nissan bearings (Stage 2 & 3)

• Connecting rods are balanced along with pistons

• New Nissan main bearings are used and properly inspected for clearances, new Nissan thrust bearings are likewise checked for clearance

• Wiseco piston rings are file fit to proper end gap specifications

• OEM main bolts or ARP main studs (Stage 3) are installed and torqued to manufacturer specs. Rod bolts, OEM or ARP, are torqued to manufacturer specs

• Every block is stamped with an I.D. number and all build specifications are documented

• Heat tabs installed on freeze plugs to indicate over heating

• All exposed block surfaces are painted to prevent surface corrosion

All Z1 Ultimate Short Blocks use OEM Nissan bearings, Wiseco pistons and rings, OEM, Eagle, or Carillo rods, and ARP fasteners where specified.
