Z1 Non Turbo and Twin Turbo Automatic Transmissions are upgraded to transfer substantially higher power output to the wheels and last longer than any other Z32 transmission on the market. Higher quality friction material, additional clutches, and modifications for additional cooling mean crisper shifting and longer life. These transmissions include a rebuilt stock torque converter. An External Transmission Fluid cooler is required bypassing / eliminating the stock cooler in the radiator available as an option when purchasing the transmission. Shipped dry, these transmissions require roughly 11 quarts of Dexron III ATF.
There is a $400 refundable Core Charge which means if the transmission is NOT being installed at Z1 and you do not send your transmission in first, a $400 refundable core charge is added to the cost of the transmission. Starter sometimes grind when trying to start? Check the teeth on the flexplate ring gear to make sure none are worn. We have plenty of good used flexplates in stock.
