| Z1 Motorsports Upgraded Cylinder Head Packages
In addition to our superb Z1 Ultimate Short Blocks we also have a wide range of upgraded cylinder heads in stock for immediate delivery. All Z1 Cylinder Heads are fully tested for cracks, pressure tested upon assembly, tested for valve leak down, and gasket surfaces are fully machined to insure a flat surface for easy sealing.
Stage 1 Heads NA or TT
-- Heads are disassembled and vat cleaned
-- Stock valve job or higher flowing performance radius cut valve job (+ $225.00)
-- Chamber leak test to less than 5% leak down
-- New Viton valve seals installed, spring height and valve stem height checked and set
-- Valve guides honed or replaced as needed
-- Deck surface is machined, amount of material removed is stamped into the head to simplify head gasket selection
-- Hydraulic lifters disassembled and chemically cleaned
-- Camshaft journals are polished

Stage 2 Heads TT
For those looking to increase power and / or take advantage of larger turbos we step up to our Stage 2 cylinder heads. Stage 2 heads feature:
-- Heads are disassembled and vat cleaned
-- Your choice of Z1 HL14 or HL15 camshafts
-- Stage 2 port work, includes substantial blending and polishing of the bowl, as well as removal of material and smoothing of both intake and exhaust runners
-- Z1 Bronze Valve Guides installed, intake and exhaust
-- Z1 Motorsports Performance Valve Springs
-- Deck surface is machined, amount of material removed is stamped into the head to simplify head gasket selection
-- Hydraulic lifters disassembled and chemically cleaned
-- Chamber leak test to less than 5% leak down
-- High flow performance radius cut valve job is standard on Stage 2

Stage 3 Heads TT
Building upon the upgrades from our Stage 2 Heads we offer our Stage 3 Cylinder Head package. All Stage 3 heads include Z1 HL-15 camshafts. Stage 3 heads receive the same treatment as our stage 3 packages with these additional upgrades:
-- Stage 3 port work, further bowl and runner work is done along with combustion chamber smoothing and polishing.
-- + 1mm Oversized Ferrea valves are installed. Super Alloy and Competition series valves are used
-- Ferrea titanium valve spring retainers are installed with Z1 Motorsports performance valve springs

Stage 4 Heads TT
For those looking for ultimate performance for their TT we have the Stage 4 Cylinder Heads. Stage 4 heads are designed for track use and are not recommended for daily driver applications due to the solid lifter camshafts. Stage 4 heads take the upgrades from our Stage 3 heads to another level, Stage 4 heads have these exclusive features:
-- Stage 4 port work, more extensive bowl, chamber and runner machine work is done
-- Z1 solid lifter camshafts
-- Tomei solid lifters
