I am moving to the city in April, and I need to sell my Z car. I've had it since early 2007 and I've restored it to almost new condition. Here's the story on the car: It's a 1990 300zx Twin Turbo Coupe. This car is Vin # 000366, produced in July of 1989, which is the first production month of U.S. TT's. That makes this # 366 TT produced. I bought the car from a guy in Yonkers New York in February of 2007. The paint had been completely stripped it had aftermarket bumpers and fenders on it, stock wheels and a hideous aftermarket exhaust. I bought it for 3700 with 139,000 miles on it. I am fortunate enough to own a car dealership in Connecticut that has a body shop. I had the car in the shop for about 2 months until the techs helped me fully restore the car to pristine condition. I have pictures of all the body work done, which involved zero dents, but removal of all surface paint, new OEM bumpers and fenders, new trim, and a few customizations. All in all after buying top shelf paint, parts, and paying the techs for their work I spent 5 thousand just on the paint-job. When it was done in the body shop I sent it to Attention to Detail in Middletown, CT to have the interior re-upholstered. I had a custom cut black leather interior put in as well as new seat padding and cushioning. I wanted it to look and feel like my couch at home, and it really does. It's in perfect shape. I also had the engine completely rebuilt by a Nissan and ASA certified tech, who's the Z specialist here at County Line Nissan. He's the only guy I let work on my car, and is easily the most talented tech I've seen work on Nissans. I had the block completely cleaned and rebuilt and heads were rebuilt. I replaced the pistons and all internals with brand new OEM parts. I chose to stay with OEM because I don't have any high HP dreams but I wanted the engine to last and perform at the level I wanted it at. The OEM internals are stronger than aftermarket. I had new turbo's installed at this rebuild as well as a Stillen catback exhaust as well as Stillen TP's and DP's. Other than the Pop-Charger and the exhaust there is no aftermarket parts inside the car. It drives like a dream and I really really wish that I didn't have to sell it but I definitely need the money to move somewhere where a Z car would be a silly thing to have. It has 2003 Nissan 350Z track edition Rays Engineering wheels on it with BFGoodrich KDW2 G-forces. I'm looking to get 13 grand for the car. With 150,000 miles. That may sound like a lot, but it has a new engine, a new paintjob, a new interior. It's basically a new vehicle. Here's some pics of the car when it got home from the new interior and paint job a year and a half ago:
I pulled the car out of its garage, which can be seen in the background. I can assure you this car does not see any precipitation, even when it starts to rain I run the car back to it's home.
*I also had the Wheels refinished.
