We are bringing you guys a groupbuy on Schroth Hybrid II harnesses, which in our opinion is the best 6 point harness for its comfort (2" lap belt and no crotch latch) and ease of use (no need to loop through both shoulder and lap belts like other formula harnesses). The Hybrid style sub strap setup is a new technological breakthrough from Schroth. Each sub strap has a loop sewn in the end which wraps around the hardware for the lap belts. The lap belts then click into the cam lock and provide for a more efficient and comfortable transfer of energy to the cam lock. The Hybrid II features a 2" lap belt, Hybrid style sub straps, and 3" shoulders. In the Hybrid belts, the 2" lap belt is configured as a Pull-Up, giving you the best leverage to tighten the belts. And because there is less friction in a 2" belt, it's easier to adjust in the first place. HANS specific version also available. The Hybrid II harness also features Schroth's patented RFR rotary (cam lock) buckle, which operates with a carbon fiber reinforced gear system. It operates grease free and is insensitive to dust and other environmental influences. RFR™ the abbreviation for Regressive Force Release, means the release force is reduced during release operation rather than increasing as seen with all other rotary buckle products. Therefore the RFR™ buckle meets the stringent FIA required release forces without the need of an extended lever. The patented actuator with the recessed lever helps to avoid the risk of accidental release. The durable RFR™ rotary buckle is approximately 30 percent lighter than other products, yet it is still one of the strongest in the market.
