Message	Just guaging interest of anyone who would like to buy this rebuilt VG short block engine that I dont plan on installing to soon. The purchase of the engine + all rebuild parts alone was approximately $1,400+. All rebuild parts were purchased from courtesy nissan and I'll have to look for my receipts or contact them to get copies. Everything is within spec or just a hair tighter tolerances for durability. As you know from others on this site that the VG engine is very capable of safely handling well over 600hp on stock internals with the proper tuning. Engine was a low mileage long block before the rebuild. Previous owner purchased it new and but somehow it ran lean on one cylinder and melted the edge of the piston (no other damage found). Engine was acid dipped, clearances checked and reassembled with all new nissan parts. Pics of the build and finished product available upon request. The engine was rebuilt by myself. I am 29 and have over 12 years experience working on cars in general and 4years of Z ownership and engine experience. This was my first Z engine build and I am/was planning to put in my own Z. I just recently purchased a low mileage Z and wont need this for a very long time so I might as well sell it. I have no doubt in my workmanship as I am very metculus and paid attention to every detail to make sure it was done right. The engine was disassembled, checked for damages, freeze plugs and oil galley plugs removed, acid dipped & pressure washed & cleaned. #3 piston was found to be partially melted and slight cylinder wall scoring. All bores honed with a fine stone to approx +.010 oversize to accomodate oversized pistons. The pistons were replaced with oversized oem pistons and new wrist pins + clips, all new rings, new grade 4 of oem bearings (for tighter fit and proper clearance), oil galleys cleaned and new plugs put in, new freeze plugs, new main crank seals front and back, new oem thermostat, polished the crank, new oil pump installed, ported out the main waterjacket cooling passage for better cooling, deck warpage checked, thread passages tapped and cleaned, plastiguaged the crank to .0010 spec, stripper guaged the piston/wall clearance to .0015 spec., crank main cradle torqued to spec. Connecting rods & caps were within specs so they were reused and installed. New Grade 3 connecting rod bearings installed, and checked for proper clearance (0.0015) Also used purchased a complete engine gasket kit and installed the gaskets were needed. Engine has never been installed but turns over by hand nice n smooth. I also will offer a 1 year limited* guarantee on any workmanship defects.
