Buy it Now Through the process of taking a car to the dyno and switching out several different brands of performance intercoolers we concluded that performance intercoolers we tested produce around 25 hp gain at the 500 hp level which becomes more significant as power output increases. So if you have upgraded turbos, performance intercoolers are strongly suggested because of their ability flow more air as well as a cooler air charge fighting the chance of detonation. So which performance intercoolers to choose? We sell all of them at the best prices you’ll find. Stillen SMIC's or the Apollo FMIC for $950, for example. The smaller core sizes of the HKS and Greddy SMIC's, as compared to the Z1 or Stillen SMIC's, make them a less attractive choice in our opinion considering similar pricing.
