Well the time has come to sell my Z to someone who will have more time to enjoy it than I do. Pictures can be seen at: [ http://dj.skone.org/300ZX.html ] (the ZX is case sensitive)The Basics: 1990 Twin Turbo Z with 133,000 miles on it. Original engine and 5 speed manual transmission. White exterior with red leather interior. Upgrades/Parts: Nismo 550 cc injectors Specialty Z aluminized super split downpipes Specialty Z aluminized 2 ½ cat-back exhaust Specialty Z aluminized test pipes Garrett GT25R Ball Bearing Turbos (Same as the Jim Wolfe sport 530’s) K&N Intake Stillen aluminum sidemount intercoolers J-spec front bumper Zemulator engine management system Spare chip for the 550 cc and single pop if wanted. The Good: The transmission was rebuilt about 20k mi ago The interior is in great condition. The carpet is clean and un-matted. It is a non-smoking car. The fit and finish on the interior is very good, no rattles or miss-aligned panels. It has a nice sound system--Panasonic mp3 player deck with Infinity Kappa fronts (4 ½ “) Infinity Kappa rears (6 ½ “) and a 10 inch sub with amp in back in a matching red box The exterior of the car is also in good-great condition (a few flaws). The tires have around 80% tread remaining. The Not-so-good
The engine is starting to smoke a little, although there is no knocking. The engine was recently re-ringed, hoping that this would solve the problem. It is still smoking a little, not sure if it’s just running really rich or a turbo seal is going bad.. In certain lighting situations the jspec front bumper looks to be a different shade white than the rest of the car. It really isn’t that noticeable unless it is pointed out. It has a slight vibration above 70 mph. I think that it is the driveline, I’m in the process of adjusting it. There is an open hole below the CD player where the boost controller used to be. It was stolen. General Condition: The car starts, runs, and drives very nice. It pulls hard, and sounds good. It truly is a joy to drive, and I am going to miss it. I have owned it for the past 5 years, and it has always been stored in a garage. The climate where I live is very dry, so the Z rarely sees rain or humidity. The Zemulator is an awesome tool to play with, and if a person had access to a dyno he could probably squeeze another 50 hp out of it. The last time I had it on the dyno, it was making 415 hp and 430 RWTQ on pump gas with the boost set at 18 psi. Right now there is no boost controller. I am located in central Washington, in the city of Yakima. I would be willing to drive to Seattle or Spokane to deliver. I am asking $5,500 for it. I will consider offers. Thanks for looking.
