Here's the story: I called Greg Dupree earlier this year to see if I could commission him to build a Leader Gear Diff for my TT. I wanted Greg to build it because I've read too many "the local shop can't get my Diff shimmed correctly" or "my Diff whines like crazy" etc stories. Zero down-time and the ability to retain my original ratio rear end was another reason for wanting another Diff I could simply bolt in. I knew Greg D would do it right the first time. Anyway, Greg happened to have one he had just built with intentions of installing it in his car. Completely rebuilt with new seals, new bearings, etc. We made a deal. Greg shipped me the Diff. I installed in my car. No problems. No whining. Badass performance. Perfect! Then I sold my Z, managed to swap out the Leader Gear Diff and reinstall the stock rear end.My original plan was to get another Z and have the Leader Gear Diff ready and waiting. Well, I'm currently beginning a property development that will take a lot of my time for the coming months and will require me to front ~ $50k liquid cash. Bottom Line: I paid $2300 shipped for the Diff. That's what it will take to buy it from me. Come pick 'em up and you can have 'em for $2000. I don't NEED the money, but it would come in handy. If I can get what I paid, I'll sell. If not, I have plenty of storage space. Why do they cost $2300? Here's a rough breakdown: Good used TT Diff: $450 Leader Gears: $750 All New Seals: $100 All New Bearings: $150 Labor: $350 Shipping: $300 The gears were also Cryo-Treated for extra strength. I don't know what that costs. Do not waste your time making offers, because the price is FIRM. Do the math and consider the "zero down-time" and "peace of mind" factors. You'll see this is a fair deal for a "turn-key" Diff built by one of the country's leading Z32 experts. Plus you keep your original diff. You can keep it as a spare or sell it to offset the cost of the new diff (Z1 gets $450 for used TT Diffs). I put ~ 1500 miles on the gears and did the proper break-in procedure. All you have to do is bolt 'em in and have fun. Here's what you'll get (oil not included):
I'll have to ship the Diff dry, so oil will be drained. If you can come pick it up at Zip Code 70737, I'll let you have it for $2k. Feel free to email or call with questions. Greg 225-647-5501
