Here's the deal. The car has 120K on the body. In August of 05, I swapped in a JDM, low-mileage TT engine I bought from NxyMotorsports.com. I put in a new TT EFI harness, changed the timing belt, water pump and seals before installing in the car. I installed an RPS sport-street clutch, Unorthodox underdrive crank pulley, non-split Greg Dupree downpipes, and JWT pop-charger. I had the balance tube, upper fuel lines, and coil pack brackets chromed and the throttle cover is painted black. The car runs great and I turned a 13.59@104.4 before I took the car down for the winter. That is at stock boost and with crappy exhaust.

This winter, I pulled the rear subframe and replaced the subframe bushings with Energy Suspension urethanes. I also changed the differential, sway bar, and tension rod bushings as well. The car has new Falken GR-Betas in the stock 225/50/16 size (NA rear wheels because of it was an original 2+2.) While the subframe was out, I also installed new KYB AGX adjustable shocks and Tein S-Tech springs with the 300degree camber kit. The car has Brembo cross-drilled/slotted rotors all around with PBR Metal Master pads, Goodridge stainless brake lines, and ATE Super Blue brake fluid. I also have the 300degree master cylinder brace. This weekend, I put on a new high pressure power steering line also.

The only mechanical problems are that the exhaust needs to be redone since it was a horrible rig-job by the previous owner and is only 2" crimp bent. I have recently noticed that upon long decels, like going down long hills in gear, that I get some smoke from the exhaust. It looks like early signs of turbo seal failure, but then again I've read that gutting the cats (as I've done) will sometimes cause this problem.

As far as the body goes, it is in decent shape. The previous owner had wrecked the front right corner, so I had the fender repaired and obviously replaced the front bumper with a stock TT fascia to allow intercooler airflow. The paint is all-around pretty shiny, although it has been repainted before and the painted over the original pinstriping (piss-poor job if you ask me.) From a distance though, it really can't be seen. I also had a 94+ TT wing installed and painted. There are a few dings and scratches here and there but overall looks pretty good.

The interior is red leather. The dash has the normal peel around the defrost vent, but other than that is not cracked and in great shape. The front seats need to be replaced or recovered, but the power seat does work. The rear seats are perfect. I have a a52mm electroluminescent boost gauge installed below the CD player in the 300degree 3-gauge DIN panel. The CD player is a JVC Kameleon, Fosgate components in front and Audiobahn 6.5"s in the rear. I have a Fosgate Punch HX2 8" DVC sub installed in the left rear corner of the hatch, powered by a cheapo Radio Shack amp I found lying around. I also just put on a new alternator and Optima Red Top. All of the electronics work except for the horns. Neither worked so I removed them and just haven't gotten around to buying new ones.

So that's about it. I'm asking $7500 for the car as is. I have that much alone in parts. If you don't really know what's involved in the TT swap, most shops will charge $5000+ for the swap alone and some well over that. I did all of the work myself so I've got 100s of hours in labor also. I really hate to sell the car since I have put so much of myself into it, but I'm trying to sell my house now in order to build a bigger and better one in the near future. Keeping the Z just doesn't seem like the thing to do right now.
Please email or call if you are interested. I do have plenty more pics upon request.

Thanks for reading,
Chris
