What's that buzzing sound coming from the cabin lights?

    It's the aspirator fan for the upper cabin temperature sensor. You can remove it and lubricate it using a tiny amount of light oil such as ATF. You may also need to adjust the tension on the fan shaft. You'll see the adjustment screw once you remove the fan assembly. Proper tension adjustment is necessary for the fan to function properly without squealing. If tension is too high, the fan won't run. Let me know if you need more info.

    Here are some pictures I just took to make it easier to understand the description that SteveH gave.


    To access the sensor, just pull down on the plastic cover that houses the map lights also. To take out the unit, there is two phillips head screws. Once the screws are out, unplug the connector to take the whole unit out, or leave it connected to lubricate. It was easier for me to disconnect it.
