How do I set the boost with boost jets or welding tips?

1.) Put in an aftermarket boost gauge(SPI, HKS, GRreddy, Autometer, VDO)-anything is much better than the stock idiot light with-a-needle-boost gauge!!! LOL

2.)Put in the cooler #6(pfr6b-11b) or #7(pfr6b-11) NGK plugs. Stock are pfr5b-11b(#5) and are too hot to be completely safe as far as detonation goes...

3.) Just get 0.045 & 0.035 inch size welding tips form a welding supply shop. Put them in the car's wastegate lines(see
    www.dallas.net/~damonz, go to tech section).

4.) Be careful at this point: Listen for a pebble-in-the-coffe can sound--THIS IS DETONATION--LIFT OFF THE GAS PEDAL IMMEDIATELY!!! Great engine damage can occur!!!

Since you have MUCH more power now than you have been used to and you need to pay attention to the boost guage AND the road--find a safe lightly traveled road that is long enough to bost in third gear at least... It would also be nice to see where boost jumps to in 4th... See where the boost goes up to in 3rd and 4th gears--there will be a momentary flash to a certain boost level(ie: it will jump to 16 psi then level off to 14.5 or so...). You want boost to flash to a max of 15.5psi(and you want steady boost to be the same ideally, but it is not possible with boost jets/tips)...

5.) If you are using a stock ZTT ecu, use the high boost (over say 10psi) sparingly (not for over 20 secs or so..)

Enjoy, but use your brains...The stock ecu/injectors/intercoolers are not optimized for long durations of high boost levels and detonation can even be SILENT!!!! DO this AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
